We had a lovely trip to the Theatre on Saturday to see the book adaptation of The First Hippo on the Moon by David Walliams. Matteo was very confused about what was actually going to be happening as he was under the impression that he would be taking part in the show and had been practicing his song....we've been watching Disney's Sing recently!! He was also looking out for the theatre owner Mr Moon - also part of Sing!! They really enjoyed the show and whilst it was a little long for Matteo, and he wasn't pleased they didn't stick entirely to the book for the entire show, they asked if they could go back another day. They both said their favourite bit was when the animals had to poo!!!

Yet another rainy day the other day so I made the kiddies an obstacle course inside the house using masking tape, post it notes and a few other bits!! They absolutely loved it and wouldn't let me take it up! 1.) Isabella had some words and Matteo had colours on a post it, I said the word or colour and they had to throw the beanbag onto the correct one. 2.) Jump from standstill to see how many lines they could jump. 3.) Starjumps and hopping in the shapes. 4.) Pull back the cars and get them over the line. 5.) walk along the line. 6.) 10 rocks on the rockit board. 7.) Run along the wiggly line. 8.) Isabella had to use the letters to spell 2 words, Matteo had to put the shapes on the correct sized tape. 9.) On the bike for a lap around the house! An incredibly easy thing to do and set up (and clear away!) and they loved it - kept them busy for ages and burnt off some energy!

We had such an amazing day at the ice cream farm. It was a beautifully sunny day and we timed everything perfectly!! We arrived before the masses, so they had the run of the place pretty much to themselves; we were the first in for lunch, so no fighting for a table or waiting long for food; we went into the sand and water area as everyone was leaving for lunch, but when we came out it was heaving!! So we went to look at the animals and then got an ice cream. By then they'd had enough so we waited for the 'snow' to come out of the ice cream tree and then we headed home.
