Isabella in (one of) her new summer hat.

With a bit of a rocky start as she wasn't too keen on the whole hat situation she finally accepted it and then demanded her dummy and promptly fell asleep.....shopping is exhausting!!!

A lovely warm evening out in the 'seating area' Fredi made!

It was such lovely weather the other night and she loved being outside  listening to the birds....she was a little confused at where they actually were and wasn't too impressed with being moved around for a picture, but we enjoyed sitting out in the fresh air!

Check out just how cute I really am!!!!

As you can see Isabella's really getting to grips with smiling and is willingly throwing them out to everyone who talks to her rather than just reserving them for family members!!! Even on minimum sleep and being woken up she'll still flash those gums at you and that's one of the reasons why we love her so much.

Isabella's passport photo!!!

This is hilarious!!! We went into the photo shop to have her picture taken and had to wake her up as she was fast asleep as usual! I then had to perch sideways on a tall chair and prop her up on my knee which I had to suspend in mid air as there was nothing to rest it on, and have her upright and looking at the camera whilst my hands were nowhere to be seen!! Needless to say it took a while to get this shot as she wasn't playing ball and didn't feel she had to look in the general direction of the guy taking the picture so he was hopping from place to place......rather amusing. His comment about this photo was "She's cute but looks very mischievous". I bet she's going to love this when she's older!!!!

An exhausting day!

We have been very busy today. Mummy made a friend at the baby clinic so we teamed up to venture into the big wide world of 'clubs and classes' as you clearly can't do these things solo! So we went for the second time today and despite meaning we had to be up early as we needed to be out of the house 15 minutes later then when we usually wake up this didn't slow Isabella down at all! We set up camp in the corner with our new friends (Mum Victoria who is lovely, and baby James who is a day younger and 3 times the size of Isabella) and I was a great mum and promptly dumped her on the floor to have a good stretch and kick around......1 1/2 hours later she was still kicking, arm waving and looking around taking everything in, meanwhile James had gone back to sleep after a brief opening of the eyes for food!! We then went home where she fell asleep as soon as she got in her pushchair (you could almost hear her sigh of relief that it was all over and therefore she could finally relax) I struggled to wake her for her lunch and she went straight back to sleep, and it is now 30 minutes after when she should have been eating her dinner and as you can see from the photo she is absolutley out for the count still!!! But she loves it and then mummy has a day all to herself pretty much....can't be bad!

Isabella sitting in Daddy's computer chair! In the first picture she does look like she is practising her innocent 'wasn't me' expression for when she's a little older!

Sunday at 'The Lodge'....

We had such gorgeous weather on the Sunday that we felt it deserved a trip round the Abbey Fields and it didn't disappoint! We felt that Isabella was a touch young to feed the ducks so we're leaving that till another time. When we got to the playground it was packed full of families and every piece of equipment was taken - we also felt it was a little weird waiting in line with a 9 week old baby for the swings....again, saving it for next time. So we ventured round the pond and had to do a little off roading as we took the wrong path! We also ended up at the 'magic tree' which provided us with hours of entertainment when we were kids and we felt that this deserved waking Isabella up and taking a few fabulous shots which she had some mixed feelings about as you can see! We had a lovely weekend though and it was great for Isabella to meet so many family members in one go.

Our weekend at "The Lodge" begins....

Isabella had an exciting weekend this weekend, she met Great Granny and Great Grandpa, Auntie Emily, Uncle Fergus, Great Uncle John, Great Aunt Susie and second cousin Jenny (plus 2 friends!) and she loved every minute of it!
We had a very calm and quiet train ride down to Leamington....she slept the entire way! She then had lots of attention and lovely cuddles from everyone interspersed with a little action when deposited on the floor. She slept the whole night through (apart from when I woke her up to feed her) even though she was in a big bed...which I surrounded her with pillows just incase she felt that was the night to start moving! And these were just from the first day!!!
